Mother and daughter Sang-ok and Chae-young’s relationship alternates between close and distant. In 2007, 15-year-old Chaeyoung was diagnosed with anorexia. Despite being hospitalised, she has continued to suffer from persistent eating disorders. Her mother, Sang-ok, also suffers in her own way as she watches her daughter’s health deteriorate. A Table for Two records the history of their relationship while also looking at their present lives, both separately and together.
