Following an accusation of misconduct, top police graduate Young-nam (Bae Doo-na) is transferred to a seaside village. There, she encounters shy and bullied Do-hee (Kim Sae-ron). She takes the young girl in after witnessing her being abused, but their relationship is challenged by the truth about Young-nam’s recent past. An understated portrait of friendship and trust, A Girl at My Door features stellar performances by Bae Doo-na and Kim Sae-ron.

Having premiered in the Un Certain Regard section of the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, A Girl at My Door is the debut feature film directed and written by Jung July. Produced by Lee Chang-dong who directed and created the cinematic masterpiece Poetry (2010).
